Renew Your Membership for 2025-26ASCLS has already begun the 2025-26 membership renewal season. Thank you to the over 700 members who have already signed up for the next Society year.

For those of you who have not yet renewed, notices will arrive by mail in the next few weeks. Meet the Candidates for ASCLS Office 2025The ASCLS Nominations Committee is pleased to present the candidates for office in the 2025-26 Society year. Candidates selected by the House of Delegates will take office during the 2025 ASCLS, AGT & SAFMLS Joint Annual Meeting. Delegates will elect one president-elect; one secretary/treasurer; three 3-year term directors; one 5-year term member for the Judicial Committee; and six 2-year term members for the Nominations Committee.

Candidates were asked to answer the following question in a two-minute video: What is one unique skill, experience, and/or expertise that sets you apart to lead ASCLS and the profession in the future?

In an effort to create more touch points between the candidates running for national positions and the members electing them to those positions, the ASCLS Nominations Committee has scheduled virtual Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions in April and May to provide an opportunity for members to ask questions of the candidates running for national positions.

Call for CLEC 2026 Session Proposals

2025 Clinical Laboratory Educators Conference (CLEC) speaker in AtlantaThe Clinical Laboratory Educators Conference (CLEC) Steering Committee is currently accepting session proposals for CLEC 2026. The submission deadline is June 13.

CLEC 2026 will be held February 5-7 in Bellevue, Washington, near Seattle at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue. Share your knowledge, experiences, and perspectives on a variety of topics, including educational methodologies, teaching strategies, student centered issues, program management/administration, and faculty development. All educational sessions will be presented in-person.

2025 Clinical Laboratory Educators Conference (CLEC) On DemandAll educational sessions from the highly-rated CLEC 2025 were recorded and are now available to stream online via labucate.org. This library of on-demand courses includes content created by your peers and is focused on topics of relevance to today’s medical laboratory science educators.

Nicole ColbyCMS has implemented the first major changes to the CLIA personnel qualification regulations in over 30 years, effective December 28, 2024. An understanding of these regulations is imperative for all laboratory personnel with supervisory responsibilities. This session will review the updated pathways for individuals to qualify for CLIA positions and discuss methods for documenting experience.

  • Explain the significant changes to the CLIA personnel regulations which were effective December 28, 2024.

Emerging Laboratory Managers Collaborative Conference (ELMC2) On DemandRecorded sessions from the 5th Annual Emerging Laboratory Managers Collaborative Conference (ELMC2) are now available to stream online through ELMC2 On Demand.

CDC’s OneLab Network provides opportunities for education and training, as well as a space for collaboration between clinical, public health, individuals who perform or coordinate testing at non-laboratory sites, and CDC laboratory education and training professionals.
