ASCLS is pleased to announce the relaunch of the Lambda Tau Honor Society. With this relaunch, the Society will now provide the services to support the longtime purpose of Lambda Tau and provide for expansion to the broadest possible range of educational institutions. Initial indication of interest or to notify ASCLS of an existing chapter, can be made on the form below.
Purpose
It is the purpose of Lambda Tau:
- to develop a spirit of cooperation and unity among the students entering any of the fields encompassed by medical laboratory science
- to stimulate a higher ideal for scholastic effort, to encourage research, and to help develop the professional character of the work itself
- to interest other students in these fields; to determine and make known the requirements of hospitals and other institutions offering approved education
- to become better acquainted with medical biology and the workers in these fields in order to receive the benefit of mutual discussions and associations with fellows of common interests.

Charters will be granted to groups in colleges, universities, and hospital-based programs. A faculty advisor who is an ASCLS member must be identified in the chapter application.
