Available Scholarships

The Ascending Professionals Forum will awarding four $750 scholarships and the Developing Professionals Forum will awarding at least two $750 scholarships, to be used towards travel and registration for Ascending and Developing Professionals attending the Labvocate Symposium either in-person or virtually.

Guidelines:

To be considered for a scholarship, each applicant must:

  1. Be a current ASCLS member.  Your application must coincide with your membership category:
    1. Developing Professional members are eligible to apply for the DPF scholarship.
    2. Ascending Professional members are eligible to apply for the APF scholarship
  2. Be attending as a full in-person conference attendee to the 2025 Labvocate Symposium.
  3. ASCLS APF/DPF officers that are receiving funding from the national organization are not eligible for funding.

Preference is given to the following:

  1. First Time attendees.
  2. Members who have a record of active professional/student organization involvement and/or interest in professional activities.
  3. Length of ASCLS membership.

To receive a scholarship, awardees must:

Be present and fully participating in the 2025 Labvocate Symposium.  Participation in appointments with legislators on Tuesday is expected.

Funds distribution:

Recipients will receive the total amount of the award upon confirmation of registration and participation at the meeting.  Payment will be made by electronic ACH through the ASCLS payment system.  Checks will not be issued.
