The Pacific Northwest is a magical place. Tall pines and mists lend the area a feeling of mystery. Some nights, the fog rolls in over the city, bringing the smell of the ocean with it. By February, it will still be rainy season, but the beginning signs of spring will already be showing. Hellebore and crocuses bloom with plum trees and daffodils not far behind. The mountains will still be blanketed in snow, ready for skiers.
The rain is the perfect excuse to get cozy in an oversized sweater and enjoy a cup of excellent Seattle coffee. The area also boasts great food: think ramen, dim sum, Cuban sandwiches, shawarma, gyros. If you find a little extra time, there’s a cultural event to be found around every corner. Music abounds, and local art shines in galleries and coffee shops. Just across the lake from Bellevue, Seattle offers the classic experiences of Pike Place, the Space Needle, and the Museum of Pop Culture.
The people here are creative and kind. On the street, you’ll see almost as many dogs as people. The area is beautiful, vibrant, and fun. We can’t wait to welcome you to the PNW.
