Developing Professionals (Student) Forum

Developing Professionals Chair Responsibilities – 1 year term (full responsibilities are listed in the Guidelines for Governance):

  1. Serves as a voting member of the ASCLS Board of Directors
    1. Travel to the ASCLS BOD Planning Day on October 19, 2025, in Washington, D.C. (before the Labvocate Symposium).
    2. Active participation in the ASCLS BOD Meetings (held virtually) in Fall 2025 and Spring 2026-typically on a Sunday afternoon.
    3. Travel to the Joint Annual Meeting in Summer 2026 typically in June or July.
  2. Works with the Vice Chair, Secretary, Advisor, and other members to complete the charges for the year.
  3. Must host and participate in monthly conference calls of the DPF that wiil be determined based on the availability of the DPF Leadership Council.

Developing Professionals Vice Chair Responsibilities – 1 year term (full responsibilities are listed in the Guidelines for Governance):

  1. Assists the Chair and Secretary in any activities and functions related to the Forum.
  2. Works with the Chair, Secretary, Advisor, and other members to complete the charges for the year.
  3. Stands in for the Chair if he/she is unable to complete his/her duties.
  4. Must participate in monthly conference calls that will be determined based on the availability of the DPF Leadership Council.

Developing Professionals Secretary Responsibilities – 1 year term (full responsibilities are listed in the Guidelines for Governance):

  1. Assists the Chair and Vice Chair in any activities and functions related to the Forum.
  2. Works with the Chair, Secretary, Advisor, and other members to complete the charges for the year.
  3. Record the proceedings of all meetings of the DPF.
  4. Must participate in monthly conference calls that will be determined based on the availability of the DPF Leadership Council.

Ascending Professionals Forum

Vice-Chair’s Responsibilities – 1 Year Term, 3 Year Commitment (full responsibilities are listed in the Guidelines for Governance)

  1. Assists the Chair and Secretary in any activities and functions related to the Forum.
  2. Works with the Chair, Secretary, Past Chair, Advisor, and other members to complete the charges for the year.
  3. Stands in for the Chair if he/she is unable to complete his/her duties.
  4. Must participate in monthly conference calls that will be determined based on the availability of the APF Leadership Council.
  5. Make an effort to attend the Legislative Symposium and the ASCLS Annual Meeting.
  6. Transitions to Chair of the Forum after their term as Vice Chair, then to Past Chair and members of the ASCLS Board of Directors in their third year.

 

Secretary’s Responsibilities – 1 Year Term (full responsibilities are listed in the Guidelines for Governance):

  1. Assists the Chair and Vice Chair in any activities and functions related to the Forum.
  2. Works with the Chair, Secretary, Past-Chair, Advisor, and other members to complete the charges for the year.
  3. Record the proceedings of all meetings of the APF.
  4. Must participate in monthly conference calls that will be determined based on the availability of the APF Leadership Council.
  5. Make an effort to attend the Legislative Symposium and the ASCLS Annual Meeting.

Eligibility for officer positions will be determined based on your membership type on 02/28/25.
