The Clinical Laboratory Educators Conference (CLEC) is the most impactful annual gathering for faculty, administrators, directors, advisers, and others in medical laboratory education. In-Person and Virtual Attendance Options

To provide you flexibility to participate in CLEC in the format that best fits your personal circumstances, you have the option to attend CLEC either in person in Atlanta or virtually through the streaming device of your choice, wherever you are.

All educational sessions will be streamed live and recorded. Both in-person and virtual registrants will have access to all session recordings for 30 days after the event—about 40 hours of P.A.C.E.®-approved credit—as well as additional virtual content provided in the conference app. You get to choose which sessions and events you want to attend live and which recordings you will view later when the time is right. Design a CLEC schedule that fits your work and personal life.

New Educator Workshop

The New Educator Workshop (NEW) will address the needs of those new to educator positions in clinical laboratory science-related programs. NEW is designed to assist early-career educators transition into teaching roles and support their professional development. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with presenters and fellow educators via interactive presentations, discussions, and peer-to-peer learning activities.

This year’s session will empower you to provide feedback that will help students go beyond basic error recognition and deepen their learning. Join us to acquire new insights and skills for implementing feedback strategies that are both impactful and personalized to your teaching.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the presenter and fellow educators via interactive presentations, discussions, and peer-to-peer learning activities.

NAACLS Workshop

The National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) will present the following hybrid workshop, “Winds of Change: Understanding the 2024 Standards and Compliance Changes,” on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 7:00am-12:00pm EST, Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.

James March Mistler, ABD, MS, MLS(ASCP)CM, and Frankie Harris-Lyne, MS, MLS(ASCP)CM, NAACLS Review Committee Members, will guide you through the newly released NAACLS 2024 Standards and outline what has changed, what remains the same, and what is brand new.

This workshop will showcase crosswalk examples of the most significant changes in the Standards and Standards Compliance Guide, review frequently cited standards that remain similar to their 2012 counterparts, and outline what to expect from the new standards, compliance language, and available resources.

This workshop will immediately precede the Clinical Laboratory Educators Conference on March 6, 2025. This NAACLS workshop is SEPARATE from the CLEC Program, and the workshop registration and payments are processed directly through NAACLS.
