2015 - 2016 LEADERSHIP PROJECT

The 2015 - 2016 Leadership Academy developed a set of 5 postcards and corresponding flyers designed to direct laboratory professionals to ASCLS for the answers to some of their most frequently asked questions. 2016 - 2017 LEADERSHIP PROJECT

The 2016 - 2017 Leadership Academy developed a MEDLABtalks Speaker Guide to assist laboratory professionals in presenting medical laboratory science-related information in a structured speaker series. The academy graduates also presented their own MEDLABtalks during the 2017 ASCLS Annual Meeting.

Leadership Academy

Purpose

ASCLS---Official-LeadershipThe ASCLS Leadership Academy is designed to prepare ASCLS members for current and future leadership roles in the organization by providing a structured program of study of critical leadership topics.

Goals

  • Identify members with potential to become leaders in ASCLS and invest in their growth and development.
  • Provide these high-potential leaders with skills required to step into leadership positions within ASCLS.
  • Energize and grow ASCLS through strong leadership at all levels of the organization.
  • Increase the future leaders' knowledge of ASCLS.

Benefits to the Participant

  • Develop skills that can be transferred to the work setting and life in general.
  • Provide opportunities to learn from and dialogue with ASCLS leaders.
